Privacy Policy

Overview

WalkStrat ("we," "us," "our") is a desktop analytics application for TradeStation, operated by Florin Kramer, an individual based in Israel. This policy covers both walkstrat.pro / walkstrat.online (the "Site") and the WalkStrat desktop application (the "Software").

The short version. The Software runs entirely on your own computer, and WalkStrat itself makes no network connections. Your strategies, trade data, backtest results, parameters and analytics never leave your machine, because there is nowhere for them to go. We only collect what is needed to sell you a license, issue it, and support you.

What We Collect

From the website

• Account details. An email address and password when you create an account, plus your name and country. Accounts are hosted on Lovable Cloud. If you choose Sign in with Google, Google confirms your identity to us and shares your name and email address; Google also learns that you signed in to WalkStrat. You can always create an account with email and password instead.
• Your TradeStation Customer Number. ⚠️ Required to issue a license, because WalkStrat licenses are tied to a TradeStation Customer Number rather than to a computer. It is a personal identifier, so we state it plainly: we store it against your account and include it in the license token we generate for you. We cannot see your TradeStation account, your positions, your orders or your balances — the number identifies a license holder, nothing more.
• Purchase information. Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as merchant of record. Paddle is the seller of record for the transaction and handles payment data under its own privacy policy and PCI obligations. We never receive or store your card details. We do receive your name, email, country and purchase amount, in order to issue your license and support you.
• Website analytics. We use Lovable's built-in analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It is cookieless — it stores nothing on your device and does not identify individual visitors.
• Support correspondence. Whatever you send us, kept only as long as needed to resolve it.
• Mailing list. If you join our mailing list, your email address and the page you joined from. You don't need an account to join, and joining doesn't create one. You can leave the list at any time. You are only added after confirming through the email we send you, and every message includes a link to unsubscribe.
• Emails we send you. Account emails (confirmation, password reset), license and billing emails (your license token, trial and renewal reminders), and — only if you opted in — occasional product news. We keep a record of what was sent and any unsubscribe request, so we never email you after you have opted out.
• Abuse prevention. When you join the mailing list or start a free trial, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you're a person rather than a bot. When you start a free trial, we record the time and the IP address it was requested from. We keep a record when a license or free trial appears to be misused — for example, repeated trials for one TradeStation Customer Number.

From the Software

Nothing. WalkStrat does not transmit any data.

That is not a policy choice that could quietly change — it is how WalkStrat is built. License validation is performed entirely on your own computer: the license token you paste in is checked against a key built into the application, and compared with the Customer Number TradeStation reports locally. No server is contacted, at activation or at any time afterwards.

So the Software never sends us — and we could not obtain — your strategy code, trade data, backtest results, optimization parameters, or anything about how or what you trade.

One note about Windows itself. WalkStrat draws some of its screens with Microsoft Edge WebView2, a component built into Windows. WalkStrat switches off the WebView2 features that would contact Microsoft on its behalf — SmartScreen page checks and crash reports. WebView2 still sends Microsoft a small amount of its own reliability data, the same kind of data Windows itself sends from every PC. No application can switch that off. It describes WebView2 itself, not your strategies or trades, and you control its optional part in Windows Settings → Privacy & security → Diagnostics & feedback. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

If this ever changes, this policy will be updated before such a version ships, and any such feature will be off by default.

What We Don't Do

• We don't sell your data to anyone.
• We don't share your trading strategies or trade data — we do not have them.
• We don't use your TradeStation Customer Number for anything other than issuing and validating your license.
• We don't use your email for anything beyond license, billing and support communication, and product updates if you opt in.

Retention

• License and purchase records — kept for as long as your account exists, so you can always retrieve and renew your license. Paddle, as the seller of record, keeps its own transaction and tax records under its own policy.
• Your Customer Number — kept with your account and deleted with it, except for one record: that a free trial was used for that Customer Number, so the free trial can't be claimed twice.
• Trial records (time and IP address) — deleted after 12 months.
• Support correspondence — deleted or archived once resolved, unless needed for a dispute.
• Website analytics — per the analytics provider's own retention policy.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold — under GDPR in the EU and EEA, UK GDPR, or similar laws elsewhere. To exercise them, contact support@walkstrat.pro.

A request by email is all it takes — there is no form to fill in. We may ask you to confirm the request from the email address on your account, and we reply within one month.

We hold very little by design: name, email, country, TradeStation Customer Number, and purchase records. Most requests are quick to fulfil.

Note that deleting your account also ends your ability to retrieve or renew your license token, since we would no longer hold the record it is issued against.

Cookies

The Site uses cookies. What they are and how to control them is set out in full in the Cookie Policy.

The Software uses no cookies — it is not a web application.

Third Parties

International Transfers

Some of the services above are based outside your country, including in the United States. Where personal data leaves the EU, EEA or UK, it is protected by the service's data processing agreement and the safeguards the law requires, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

We have no other processors. No third party receives data from WalkStrat itself, because it sends none — the only exception is WebView2's own reliability data, described above.

Children

WalkStrat is a professional trading-analytics tool, not directed at or intended for anyone under 18.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision, and material changes affecting previously-collected data will be emailed to license holders where required.
