System Requirements

What your machine needs for optimization sweeps and Monte Carlo runs.

Multi-threaded genetic optimization sweeps and memory-intensive Monte Carlo simulations need a reasonably modern machine.

Software prerequisites

WalkStrat makes no network connections of its own. Microsoft Edge WebView2, the Windows component WalkStrat uses to display some of its screens, may transmit standard OS/component reliability telemetry to Microsoft, which cannot be disabled by third-party host applications. None of your strategies, trades or results are included.

Minimum

  • Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 / Windows 11 (64-bit)
  • Processor (CPU): Intel Core i5, Gen 10 (or AMD equivalent)
  • Memory (RAM): 16 GB
  • Storage: 500 MB free (SSD recommended)
  • Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 / Windows 11 (64-bit)
  • Processor (CPU): Intel Core i7, Gen 10 or higher (multiple physical cores for parallel optimization threading)
  • Memory (RAM): 24 GB or more (to handle large Segments × OOS% post-hoc matrices)
  • Storage: 1000 MB free (SSD recommended)
